Do not use the email tool within an individual research database, and do not copy/paste the URL that appears in your browser address window. Instead, in the article's detailed record view:

  • Look for a permalink or stable document link for the article record that you want to share. Check that the permalink begins with this prefix for off-campus authentication: https://uhcl.idm.oclc.org/login?url=
  • If the permalink includes the libproxy prefix, copy the full, complete link
  • Access your email separately or a designated place in Blackboard to paste the full link and share it

Databases from EBSCO and ProQuest include the proxy prefix in permalinks. Articles from JSTOR have a stable link, but you will need to add the prefix yourself to make a longer, complete link (leave no space after the "=" sign, e.g., .../login?url=https://www.jstor.org/...)

Exception: In OneSearch, using the email feature is okay.
